The Center for Quantitative Life Sciences has created a new position for Assistant Director that oversees the Core Laboratory. CQLS invites applicants for this part-time (.50 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.  

The CQLS Core Laboratory Facilities provides services, technical expertise, and shared-use instrumentation for molecular bioscience research at Oregon State University. The Core Facilities serve as a focal point for acquisition of new instrumentation and development of technologies and services. The lab works closely with the CQLS Biocomputing group and Bioinformatics and Data Science group which provide advanced computational resources, genomics and bioinformatics research, and data science research for university collaborators.
 

The purpose of this position is to lead the CQLS Core Laboratory Facilities, including research and training activities, as well as strategic planning and budget management. Responsibilities include leadership of CQLS’s Core Laboratory Facilities, supervision of laboratory employees, consultation and training efforts, assistance to and coordination with the CQLS Biocomputing group and Bioinformatics and Data Science group as needed, and service to the CQLS, and the university, including advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
