CQLS RELMS facilities

We will be bringing other functions of our Center into RELMS for ordering services in addition to making reservations on calendars. They will show up in different facilities in RELMS over the next few months. To make and access reservations for our shared instruments and microscopes, you will now be going to the facility called CQLS: Shared Instrumentation and Microscopy.

CQLS sample dropoff and multiuser equipment available June 24-28 during building exhaust system work

Note that there is an upcoming ALS building wide exhaust system shutdown planned for the entire week of June 24-28. Facilities needs to shutdown all the exhaust fans, which will impact airflow throughout the building. The building will still receive climate control, but not at full capacity. As the building will not have any exhaust ventilation, occupants should expect to notice some laboratory related odors. If possible, avoid any extra heat generating experiments, as the building’s cooling system will be compromised from the reduced ventilation.
